Inspite of a recession and slow building market, we have had a record year for sales. Many have found it necessary to repair and maintain their asphalt surfaces rather than go new.  We have set many apartment associations as well as commercial business  on a long term maintenance program to help maintain the intregrity of their parking lots while getting the most from their dollar.  Our new procedure of "Target or Spot" planing or milling has slowly replaced the use of infra-red repairs.  It has proved to be longer lasting and most of the time costs less than the square foot price of a infra-red (heat).  This procedure removes recycled asphalt and is replaced with new hot mix asphalt.  This procedure is also seamless. Infra-red heats burn the oil out of the asphalt and turns the surface to ashes. Nothing is removed and very little new material is added only to add color to the surface and hide the cracks that will eventually show through. These repairs are temporay at best.( see gallery fail infra-red heats. ) We have time tested these repairs over a 9 year period and can provide many references as well as pictures. (also included in gallery) Owners are now realizing the tremendous advantage of planing/milling vs. infra-red heats.
